For Anzac Day 2021 here is BP-N, BL384, which was the regular mount of Flight Lieutenant John Albert Axel Gibson DFC (later a Squadron Leader also with a DSO), a New Zealander
who was a flight commander in No. 457 Squadron (RAAF) in England from late 1941 to May 1942.

BL384 was on the squadron's strength from December 1941 till March 1942, then transfered to No. 452 Squadron (RAAF) where it crashed into the sea on 10 April 1942.

Gibson also wore the Donald Duck nose art on his life jacket however it would seem the victory markings indicate those achieved by this aircraft rather than just those scored
by Gibson, as it has 13 1/2 Luftwaffe victory markings yet Gibson's final tally at the end of the war was 12 1/2 including one A6M Zero.

Happy flying!
